RCE Foundation in action

Christie
Christie, age three, has been diagnosed with Leber Congenital Amaurosis, which has resulted in complete blindness.
Christie’s therapy needs extend beyond traditional developmental therapy due to the significant impact her vision impairment has on her ability to engage in daily activities and learn foundational skills.
Therapy for Christie is essential to support her in building critical skills for activities of daily living, including independent mobility, self-care, and pre-academic readiness. The specialized services she requires, which include adaptive techniques for sensory exploration and communication, will equip her with the tools needed to thrive in academic and social settings and reach her fullest potential.

Finnley
Finnley, age six, is currently receiving therapy to address a moderate to severe expressive and receptive language disorder.
He faces considerable difficulties with word finding, motor planning, and working memory, which significantly impact his ability to communicate and engage with others.
Finn’s struggles extend to mealtime, where his sensory sensitivities contribute to a highly restricted diet and challenges with using utensils. Occupational therapy is crucial for Finn as it addresses his sensory processing difficulties and helps him develop the emotional regulation necessary for successful participation in classroom routines and social interactions with peers. Physical therapy is critical to support the motor planning and overall motor skill development needed for safety, environmental awareness, and mobility.

Behind Every Smile Is a Story
- A parent doing everything possible to help their child reach new milestones.
- A family navigating long drives, therapy costs, and waitlists - just to get care.
- A child learning to communicate for the very first time, because someone cared enough to help.
Together, we make these stories possible
