RCE Foundation

Parent Advocacy Program (PAP)

RCE Foundation will launch the Parent Advocacy Program (PAP) in 2024. PAP takes a family-focused approach to facilitate the best attainable quality of life for the person living with one or more disabilities. The program advocates, nurtures and supports the parent or caregiver through their journey as they care for their loved one.

PAP will

Offer parents (mothers, fathers and caretakers alike) the partnership they need to thrive.

PAP will

Train parents on strategies to help their loved one(s) adjust to their environment.

PAP will

Help the caregiver get needed medical or therapeutic interventions and other resources wherever they live.

PAP will

Extend support services that provide relief or respite to the caregiver thru networking or a simple unrelated phone conversation, a dinner out and about, etc.
